Dr. Ana-Maria Orbai on Patient and Physician Consensus on Psoriatic Arthritis Outcomes
Dr. Ana-Maria Orbai speaks about her research initiative pertaining to Psoriatic Arthritis patients. By asking a pool of patients from seven different countries, she was able to gather a core set of factors (for example, sleep, stiffness and emotional well-being, etc.) that are most important to people dealing with this disease. These findings will lead to improved treatment decisions for Psoriatic Arthritis patients.

Patient-Centered Outcomes Research at Johns Hopkins Rheumatology
Patient-Centered Outcomes Research gives patients the ability to tell their story. By filling out questionnaires that ask about fatigue, pain, stiffness and depression, patients are able to have more in-depth conversations with their rheumatological doctors about the areas in their life that need the most attention. The PCOR initiative and new way of conducting research has brought improved results in patient’s daily life.
