The Johns Hopkins Arthritis Center has a three part mission focusing on patient care, research and education. Our team is dedicated to providing the best clinical care possible, from understanding the biology of arthritis, to learning new ways to diagnose it, to performing research aimed to address patient’s quality of life. Educating our patients is as important as giving them the best clinical care possible.
Patient-Centered Outcomes Research gives patients the ability to tell their story. By filling out questionnaires that ask about fatigue, pain, stiffness and depression, patients are able to have more in-depth conversations with their rheumatological doctors about the areas in their life that need the most attention. The PCOR initiative and new way of conducting research has brought improved results in patient’s daily life.
